I haven't tried those, but I've had the drilled and slotted r1concepts rotors on mine for years. They've served me well, but are due for replacement. Mine get abused though. I'd stay away from the drilled versions and go for slotted. www.r1concepts.com/

a few things about brakes. 1: drilled rotors like to crack around the holes. very off putting for a street car if you dont plan on swapping rotors every 7K miles. 2: slotted rotors are designed to "degas" pads that "gas". this really a thing of the past now a days. if you have a pad that gasses you are in worse shape you think and a slotted rotor isnt the solution. pads that are newer than the 1970's are the solution. 3: some sketchy brake companies will drill or slot a blank rotor. Brembo, centric/powerSLOT/powerSTOP rotors are not blanks that are redrilled/slotted. 4: i put centric blanks, and "top of the line" pads, shoes and wheel cylinders on my car. the justy has a shorter braking distance than my s2000 and thats impressive. the justy wont have the repeatable braking ability of the s2k, but in a panic stop id rather be in the justy than any of the other 4 cars i own. lastly, if you want some blanks, they can be had from a reputable brand rather cheaply from rockauto or from ebay

Right on!
What kind of measurements am I looking for? I fully admit that it's all about vanity right now as I look through my spacious new rims.
I'd like to improve my pads and rotors for 1) quality 2) ability and 3) vanity.
Having the AA rated 195s is like night and day over the POS 165 Mastercraft tires that the car came with... Still, I'm looking for something that will perform just as well with the 145/70R13s I'm looking to spec for winter.
... which brings me to another question: anybody know a good US site to source European tires? I have my eyes on some Vredestein Snowtrac3s in the aforementioned size that I can't find on Google... and even from Vredestein dealers.

never heard of those tires...i hear nokkian (may or may not be spelled right) are pretty damn good in the snow too.
btw, with the locked center diff in 4wd this thing is a beast. the locked diff means that you have to spin a tire on both the front and rear axle at the same time in order to get wheel spin. if for some reason your front or rear has traction in both tires, it will not allow the other axle to spin a tire. kinda how it works even with an open diff on either end.
ask me how i know...got stuck in a tank trap at an offroad park once.
not sure what you mean by "measurements" for brakes. Rockauto and ebay have rotors and i think they have measurements on them. like back spacing, min thickness, overall diameter etc. Im a big fan of the centrics though. having said that i have a set of new brembo's on the shelf just in case and id be willing to let those go on the cheap since my justy might actually be dead-dead.
are you trying to Frankenstein something here? because we have something of a "captive rotor" design which isnt too common and you'll likely have a hard time finding the right rotor to Frankenstein something.

My option is: I think if you have 13-inch brakes there is no easy way to make them reasonable better than buy good quality pads and rotors... I am not sure if 12-inch brakes could be swapped for 13-inch ones, but it could be best way to upgrade brakes on Justy.
People with Imprezas and Foresters (bigger, more powerfully and more heavy cars) saying if you do not spend more than some 1 500€ there is almost no chance to make big difference...

your stopping distance will eventually be limited by the amount of grip your tires have at whatever angle they are when the brakes are applied.
bigger brakes and things like what the foresters have or swap to are more to resist fade in addition to providing more "bite" however, if you need that much braking force, a 195 anytyhing, even a hoosier slick wont suffice.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be vague. I'm wondering what rotors would fit under the stock 13" calipers. I'm not looking for anything crazy, though I have to say the brake response with the 195s vs the 165s is night and day!

just hit rock auto and look them up. they should have that data. and this car is common enough that as long as you know if you have stock 13 or stock 12 inch wheels you can find the right brakes.
