My first one was a 1958 model Chevy Apache long bed three on the tree with a straight six. Had been sitting for about 25-26 years according to seller whose father bought it used it was three years old at that time and the daughter inherited it with no use for it really. Come to find out Where they lived at that time when her father purchased it is just two blocks from where I live now. It started up with some fresh gas oil and a battery. At one point my daily driver went down and all I had was this truck tagged and insured, So I drove it for about 3 months while I waited for parts and time to fix my daily driver.
Those there are of my first one right before I sold it. I called it RustE.
These pictures are of my current truck, hopefully not for long. I call this one Stumpy because its a shortbed and because there is a stump of a tree stuck in between the bumper and the left rear fender. I know the last picture isnt the best but if you look close you can see the stump of the tree left trapped in the bumper of the truck. I had to cut the old tail light out of the stump and cut the stump away enought to mount the new tail light.
Beleive it or not people buy these things up all rusty and rotted. I just get them running good and safe , for what they are, and sell them. On stumpy I actually put disk brakes on the front and added a power dual circuit master cylinder system to it. It runs good and stops good, cutting down a big sheet of diamond plate to put in the cab to cover up the nasty spots and make look cool. I've got a third one I hope to sell with it, its in much better shape rot wise.
