Dear ECTV Gurus :-)
I had a bigger problem before and thanks to the site instructions I could clean the brushes (one was blocked) and can move my Justy again. But only in reverse gear where its perfectly working, but I need to start in P position and move the shifter to R from. However I cannot move the shifter into D or Ds. And if I start the engine in N position I cannot move the shifter into R either. Shifter moves freely with engine off. Really a headache, is sth borkoen inside or is an electrival problem. Looked at cables but didn't see any obvious problem.
Thanks for any enlightenment!

Disconnect the shifter cable from both the selector and shifter, then see if you can move each by itself.

Dear Nipper, thanks for helping me! Do u refer to selector and shifter as to those two shafts that go vertically down into the gearbox and are moved simultaneously by the one cable?

www.dustysjustys.com/IPL/JFIG165-1.jpgThe cable that connects to #2 in the drawing. That is the selector cable. The other cable comes from the carb to the transmission, thats the throttle control cable.

Maybe I have a different tranny. The (mecanical) cable that goes to #2 shifts two shafts. My Justy has no carburator, but fuel injection. No mecanical cable comes from the "trottle side"

After cleaning the brushes (the shifter wouldn't go into R or D/dS BEFORE)
I have the problem that my Justy only drives backwards !?
Shiftstick goes now into R from P but still not into D/Ds.
Is one brush for forward and one for backward, meaning that maybe one brush (the "forward" brush) is too short?
