good stuff. I would also like these stats. Mostly the tolerance of the clearance between the shaft and hole. I am currently in the midst of a rebuild. Right now the block is being worked on ( crank grind, cylinder hone and such). I lucked out and got an extra block and rebuilt head for free when I bought a second justy. I'm going to get a bronze bushing insert made and need the tolerance to do it proper. thanks.

I got my parts from the shop yesterday. I took them my oil pump and was trying to get them to do some measurments but they told me they didnt have the time and I could leave them and they would get back to me latter. I dont have a caliper to get the measurments. I will ask around and try to borrow one. Sorry for the delay.

I will post pictures of the block soon. My cat was sitting on the box and I really did not want to move her to get the picture.

Fox-Whistle!!! Looking VERY tasty. Seems like your machine shop cares a bit. Not 100% sure of painting inside the oil pan... Thanks for taking the time to post these pics... Inspirational. I'm with you - if its off, why put it back on cruddy?!? Well Done; Cheers,

Thanks, I was pretty excited when I saw what they had done. I painted the inside of the oil pan with a high temp oil resistant engine paint. So I hope that holds up. The pan had paint on the inside from the factory, I hope I made a good choice and I dont get burned down the line with particles of paint cloging stuff up. The intake manifold looks hot. I cant wait to put the pics up. I plan to do it tomorrow.

Awesome!, Can I bug you for a triple measurement of carb stud to carb stud (including diagonal)? If you have a chance before you reassemble? ;D Thanks; Respectfully,

That is really cool! A couple late nights and some beers and you will be back on the road. You got the hardest part done, congratulations, you probably saved an otherwise good car. How worn was your crankshaft? Are you balancing the whole works?

In the picture above. The question mark, I think is a coolant line to the carb.

hows the re-assembly going? For me it was a week or so cause I had to piece it together in my free time. As for the water pump, If you follow subiejim's advice it'll be ok. My mistake was not having any clearance. I can't believe I did it twice.

So far I have not really done anything with the engine. I dont want to put it back together without a new balance shaft chain and I have not ordered one yet. So the last few weeks I have been cleaning the engine bay, that place is extremley dirty.

ah, thats cool. yeah, mine was kind of bad too. It was dry and rusty on the tranny side and caked in grease on the engine side. I wiped it down and used a wire brush. I got a beck-arnley chain for mine. it had a bit of slack to it but not near as much as the old one. If you get a different brand, let me know how it fits. good luck on the assembly.
