More has been done since.. wiring harness, steering rack, brake MC and booster etc.- all removed.. and a decent bit of welding, grinding etc. The passenger side is nearly complete and the drivers side has been started.. I just have to figure out exactly how i want to do it and finish it up.. then move towards the rear of the car..

like, what do i want to do with it now? well, the "budget" is pretty small.. lol so its gonna be stock, except for maybe an intake filter... but ive spent about 130 bucks total and wont need much else.. maybe another 1lb spool of mig wire and another sheet of steel, and a little paint etc.. that'll put me about 160 bucks total.. then the filter, 20 bucks for a sweet custom cone.. ~20 bucks for an end link 15 bucks for oil/filter.. and probably a couple bucks here and there for paints/primers and anything else to finish it up.. lol so 250 all said and done should complete the car.. not too bad.. haha

Glad to see I am not the only crazy one doing a full rebuild on a Justy, lol. I also have mine torn down pretty far, but it seems the rust monster ate yours a little more than mine Don't give up though, we need more Justys on the road -Jamie

There was more tiny rust spots all over than large area... i just decided it would be easier/more efficient to just cut out/replace on large panel than a bunch of pieces... But, yes.. am i crazy for rebuilding it? maybe.. lol but I had and and wanted a project, so.. why not?! haha less than 150 bucks so far and its close to being able to pass inspection.. More updates soon enough..

well.. im behind quite a bit on updating this... haha but progress has been VERY slow. i havent been to my friends house (where its being stored) very much to work on it...
BUT, the passenger side is getting finishing touches to make it look decent and the rest is essentially complete regarding the metal.. after filling in burn-through holes etc. with some fiberglass and making it look decent with bondo and paint, the front will be good as new again.
At the moment, i decided to take a break from the metal-work and start with doing some minor maintenance to the engine.. since its out, its the perfect opportunity.. Gaskets, paint etc. is in store for it at this point..
then, its on to take a look at how bad the rear is and see how im going to repar it..

well.. still havent updated... oops.. haha The condition of the engine/transmission was decent, she ran and drove beautiful.. could probably benefit for a resurfaced flywheel and possibly a clutch kit though.. if my budget can take it.. Otherwise, the front is completely done metal-wise. im sanding fiberglass/body filller at the moment to keep it protected and prepare for fresh paint. The guts should hopefully begin finding their way back into the bay this weekend. Thanks for the kind words everyone... Im trying to make sure i do it right... and maybe im a little crazy for doing all this to a justy... but i had the car and wanted a project... so why not.. SOMEDAY, i might finally remember my SD card and upload pictures.. lol
