time for a horror show. lets see your worst justy pics. the kind that make you sorry for the abbused car they came from. chain snaped in a block i recently had, but the bearings all spunn free. pulled the balance shaft to find this on the other end. had to file a noch in it and pry it free. Can you zoom out a bit. It looks like a dashpot of some kind. They keep the thorttle from snapping shut to quickly, but I can not swear to that unless I see more of it.

Hello Nipper, thanks for the reply and I feel sorry that I don't have a better picture. That corner has a lot of vacuum hoses and not a lot space to zoom out for a good picture. but yes, it connects to a dashport. What you said made sense. It might just be a damping dashport. The linkage of this cam seemed to be the ECVT kickdown cable. Anybody have adjusted it before and can share the procedure how you adjusted it? Thanks a lot. Can you zoom out a bit. sold this 93 subaru to a friend. it promptly came back minutes later with a serious knock. have a feeling it may have completely lost all oil pressure.
