Right now i am going to blame everything on the carb as far as fuel issues.

Ok. Well, I can't fix it untill I get the "new" carb and get it installed... :/
On the carbed engines, is there supposed to be 1 or 2 temperature sensors? 1 for the gauge on the dash, and 1 for the ECU? I have 2 wires coming out of the harness which some 'tard have just grounded onto the intake manifold... :S (Don't know the colour of the wires.)

Ok. Got the "new" carb in place after a few pain in the a** hours of transplanting the solenoids from the "new" carb to the old one. After trying to transfer the weather-proof connector to the car/carb, and failing with that, I decided to use single-point connectors ( pic: www.srvarktoj.dk/billeder/kabelsko.jpg ) to at least get the car running. (Will weather-proof these with some crimp-hose (word) and maybe some melt-glue.) Got the car running after a little fiddle with the wires, but now for some questions so that I don't get an engine fire or something a little to exciting... It's a -89 body that had a square-shaped connector for the carb wires, having 3 x black/white wires, 1 blue, 1, yellow/red and 1 yellow/blue. My question is; which one of these serve which function? Found that the black/white wires are common + (?), but need help with the rest to get it all right. Remember the automatic choke when posting. Thanks in advance. //Magnus.

Ok. So the car runs fine now. Have problems keeping it UNDER 130 km/h on the freeway... Though, I belive the oilpump is defective and won't be with us much longer. Also, I've read that the rod bearings is a decease on these engines, so I'll probably have to change those too. :/ How does one identify wether it's the inner or outer CV-joint on the rear axle that is ratteling? :/ //Magnus.

generally with a half shaft, just replace the entire shaft. But outer is quite obvious, a clunking that matches road speed on hard turns. If it clunks all the time it is in really bad shape. Inner can vibrate at high speed, make a bad bearing like noise. A bad outer can vibrate at high speed but the inner will be more subtle

Nipper: It starts to rattle when I pass about 60 km/h, and above. It stops completly when I enter 4WD mode. Upon returning to 2WD, the car gives a slight jolt and the ratteling returns, mostly. Q: Will a shaft from a ECVT rear right axle fit? Just checking before ordering. //Magnus. PS. I may be able to buy a bunch of workshop manuals from a dude here in Sweden...

Ok. The guy with the manuals were way to expensive, so I guess I'll have to do on my own for now.
Still need awnser on previous q though... :/

Again; anyone know wether the rear right drive shaft will cross-fit a manual, when the shaft comes from a ECVT?

Again; anyone know wether the rear right drive shaft will cross-fit a manual, when the shaft comes from a ECVT? I know on my '91 to '93 Justy's the axles all interchange between manual and ECVT. The drive shafts are even the same. If you order the axle for the correct year of your car it should work regardless of transmission.

Ok. Will order the axle then. Thanks Justy4x4. Q: found a hose that goes into the clean side of the air cleaner that is plugged on my car. Found that it's number 16 on this pic: www.dustysjustys.com/IPL/JFIG071-2A.jpgHere's a pic of my hose:http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/189/dsc00426xo.jpg/ (Sorry for poor cellphone quality...) What does this hose do? Should I be worried? //Magnus.

Hi all, and merry christmas. I'm gonna buy a bunch of stuff for my Justy, as there's a web-shop here in Sweden with free shipping offer now. I've concluded the most essential stuff for my tortured engine, as it lacks oil pressure (common decease on the EF-engines, right?). This is the stuff I've come up with so far. -STD size rod bearings (I can only figure that the crank hasn't been machined at any time, and unfortunately, I can't disassemble and check, cause 1, it's winter here, and 2, I don't have access to a garage or a workshop). -A set of gaskets and seals, containing: cylinder head gasket, rocker cover gasket, valve steam seals, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, thermostat gasket and a camshaft oil seal. (This is read from the picture, not from the page. (Will ask per email.) -Cam belt + tensioner. -Fuel filter. -Air filter. -Water pump set, with impeller, seals and cover gasket. -Distributor rotor arm + cap. -Christmas present to me: a whistle you install at the tailpipe that makes the whining sound of a turbo... Q: Will this be enough? Anything else I should consider? Q2: In the previous post, I asked about a hose from the air cleaner that was plugged off. What does this do, and should I be worried? Q3: My gearbox seem to leak oil, but I can't track where from. My Q is: How hard is it to change the oil seals on the gearbox? Do I need to remove it from the car? Merry christmas, and a happy new year. //Magnus.

Guys. Really need answers to previous stated Q's, since this must be a quick rebuild. :/
Final order contained the following: -STD size rod bearings. -Gasket set (see previous post). -Cam belt + tensioner. -Fuel+air filters. -Water pump assy.
Forgot distributor rotor and cap though, but not required at this point.
Q4: How hard is it to pull the front cover off while the engine is still in the car? :/
//Magnus.
