i have a justy '88 and i would like to do some slight mods on it, mainly internal neons and a metallic window crank.
are these mods possible?
I'm asking because a couple days ago i bought a set of pedals and after buying them i realized i couldn't clip them to my pedals since the stock parts can't be removed AND the metal bar that connects the actual pedals to the rest is too thick to clip the new pedals to.

Oh Man!!! Don't go with the clip on pedals! They hardly if ever fit well and always look cheap! Use a pair of pedal pads (Clutch & Brake) from a Subaru WRX They are a direct fit onto a Justy and also, just about any other manual trans Subaru built since the mid 80s. Just pop the Justy pedal pads off (They CAN be removed!) and put the WRX ones on. I did it on my 88 4WD Justy and it looks awesome! The original gas pedal assembly on my 88 was bent so, I replaced it with one from an 89-94 Gen 2 Justy. I removed the plastic gas pedal and installed a bolt on Sparco gas pedal that one of my students gave me when he upgraded the set in his Honda . There is a picture of the whole setup from my car here on this forum somewhere, But... I just don't know where to find it. I thought about going with a set of Billet window cranks myself but sadly, I have not done too much in the way of investigation on what will fit. Good Luck on your Justy mods. Jim PS..............I just found these old photos and posted them. I hope this helps. [/img]

Subie are those new hubs on your justy? Any idea about where I can get new Hubs for '86? saw a few places selling discs but none selling hubs. Thanks The hubs on my car are the stock originals for the 84-88 Gen 1 Justy Sadly, the small diameter Gen 1 hubs are getting hard to find. (I have a couple of pairs stashed away... Just in case!) A couple of years ago I upgraded my brake system to the bigger rotors and better calipers used on the Gen 2 (89-95) Justys with 13" wheels. I also used the master cylinder, proportioner valve and wheel cylinders on the rear from the same application. As far as I know all Gen 1s came with 12" wheels only. The swap was a direct bolt on with the exception of the flexible brake hoses. I had to have a set of steel braided flex hoses made to tie it all together. The car stops quite a bit better now under hard braking and recovers much more quickly. As to the hubs... I've never bought new ones mainly because they are real hard to come by ( It's a Subaru dealer item only) and very expensive when found... I hope you don't need one anytime soon. Take care, Jim
