The gremlins got into my car when I went away for 3 weeks.
The engine seems fine, but when I got on the highway last night she slid back in to "LOW" and will not "upshift" to HIGH.
I understand that this transimition does not have gears.
So can someone explain to me what is wrong.
I took out and inspected the brushes, they were pretty short, with both of them past the little notches, that I assume are minimum wear limit.
I would say that there is only about 1/4 of inch of play left.
Would changing the brushes make the transmission run normally again.
Desprately awaiting some wisdom!
thanks
