Hello, could somebody tell me what the diameter of the exhaust ports are off the head and what the distance is from center to center? Thanks, Mike in Northern Arizona

So, I'm guessing you don't have a head and a ruler?

I didn't realize Kiwi's had such a sharp wit. The only Justy head I have is in my daily driver and I cant tear into it at the moment. I thought that someone might have a head or manifold lying around and wouldn't mind doing me the favor. I'm wondering if the spacing might be compatible with one of these: www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78155and I may have a ruler but I'm not really sure what to make of the little lines on it. Thanks, Mike

Jesus, just buy a Justy exhaust manifold gasket from any internet source and use that as your template. If it is just for measurements then quality doesn't matter, buy the cheapest one. It's flat, weighs nothing and is easier to use for taking measurements.

Hey_ thanks for the great advice SeattleJusty. If there is anybody else out there that wouldn't mind taking ten seconds to take a measurement, I would sure appreciate it. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

Been out of NZ once, and that was Texas 2 months ago. And since we now have a reason to take time to dig out a rusty manifold and measure it up, here you go. Port diameter : 33mm Port spacing : 86mm between centers The problem you MAY have is where the BMW block is clear for most of the side down from the ports, the Justy juts out for the balance shaft and side engine mount at about the spot the turbo will sit, which means fabricating another manifold, or possibly cutting and tilting the flange plate of the BMW manifold to clear the case.

Thanks Captain Nemo, I appreciate the measurement and your insight. You seem like an interesting character (you'd have to be to be dating a Texan). NZ seems like a great place, I can understand not being in any hurry to get out. Hope to see it myself someday.
