Hi,
I'm new to this Forum, but it looks great! I love my little Justy. However, when she is in 4wd and i put full lock on (turning either way) the wheels seem to skid... any idea why this might be? Will it cause me problems?
I currently straighten the wheels up, pop it into 2WD do my tight turns then go back into 4WD... but maybe something just needs some fluid, or maybe its something much more serious... Help!?

Although it may be annoying, this is normal. All 4 wheels on a Justy lock up in 4wd so you can actually get out of a stuck situation. The 4wd system is not meant for times when you have grip on all 4 wheels. If you continue this it could lead to problems in the drivetrain. Terry

It's not meant for pavement if that's what you're using it on in 4WD.

Hi. I have a related problem. When 4WD is off, the front differiantial is still locked. It is impossible to steer, arms can be broken I guess the vacum for 2wd is not transfered. If there is no vacum to control solenoid at all when front diff is locked and rear wheels are cut off? Sorry for bronken english, hope you can understand Thanks in advance for any info

When i got my four wheel drive justy if steered like a tank, and the four wheel drive was stuck in the on position becasue the elctrics were bad. I put the bumper agains a tree and let the clutch out and it spun three out of four tires. I don't trust the electric switch over vacuum system so I switch mine in and out of four wheel drive by opening the hood and swaping the vacuum line it makesw a satisfying clunk when it switches.

The justy is old fashoned simple 4WD. there is no center diff to allow for the different rotational speeds of the front and rear axles, hence why it is part time. You can not use it on dry surfaces (or rain slick). It is meant for off road or slippery conditions. What you is seeing is normal
