I was at the pick-n-pull yesterday. Got the parts I needed, and then decided to kill some time. I pulled a bunch of passenger mirrors from varied 80's import cars in the lot near the justy. Some looked like a close fit with a little modding of the mirror-mounting sheet metal. Others were hoplessly off.
It was getting dark. I went home.
BUT! There's gotta be a car out there that has a decent pass. side mirror that would fit onto the justy mirror area with little modding.
I don't want the older style hatchback mirrors that mount into the door. No new sheetmetal holes!
Having 2 different mirrors is not as big an issue to me as not having a pass. side mirror!
Any ideas?

eporter123, Yeah... The right side mirror is a sweet option. Sadly, It is hard to find but, not impossible! I have an 88 Gen 1 4WD and a 90 Gen 2 5 door 4WD ECVT. Both have the RH mirror and both were installed by the dealer. The RH mirror was one of many Justy options that could be found in the SOA dealer accessories book. I have owned 14 Justys and only 3 have had the RH mirror. Now for the good news... The RH mirror is the same from 87-94 and can be found on ALL Justy trim levels (DL, GL, and RS... NOTE the RS mirror will be painted either Black or White). I found my spare RH mirror on a 89 Justy DL. It was a base car with no other options. The mirrors can be found you just need to be vigilant and stay on the hunt! I really don't think any other Subie mirror will fit without drilling a bunch of holes... Also, I think the mirror mounting area on the Justy is much smaller than it is on other Subes. I will keep an eye out for a RH mirror and I'm sure the other members will do the same. Good Luck... Happy Hunting! Jim

Jim,
I pulled off the drivers side mirror in hopes of making something happen. But I think I'll just make a mess. SO, if anyone needs a drivers side mirror, I'll trade them for the passengers side.
Still,
There's gotta be something off of some car that comes close.
I have mirrors on my 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser that came off of a 1990s Land Cruiser that was imported to Canada for mine use only.
Bolted right up, no problem.
Crazy that the bolt holes were in the same position as those on a truck made 10 years later.
All I'm saying is that there's gotta be something that bolts up, somewhere.
What vehicle holds the holy grail of the Justy compatible passenger side mirror?

when I first got my car I did not have a passenger side mirror. I almost had an accident when I was in NW and was tyrying to pull out from my parking spot and could not see and cars on the passenger side, after a close call I went to a yard up in longview and found a mirror.

What is it with some areas having and some not.I must have seen over 20 justys now in the past 2 or 3 years since I got my first justy here in Calgary and every one has a passenger side mirror!.Is this an Automatic non option here in Canada just like a block heater?.

I found mine at the junkyard for my old '90.... It was like $30 or something.
Keep in mind that after-market peep mirrors will work since there is a place to clamp them on the door frame.
My first car was a '71 Ford Torino (a huuuge car my today's standards) and had one mirror and a rear view mirror... It was very difficult to drive, made a Justy with one mirror a walk in the park.
