Can anyone with a factory service manual help me identify the oil seal that rides in the bearing cap/crankcase wall? Shown above as number 23 but my CHILTON does not ever print the corresponding legend. It is the 2'' x 1/4'' x 3/8'' seal indicated with a red arrow. It belongs in the hole(green arrow) with its little metal pin sticking out. If anyone could please provide a name/part number of this and anything else in the image above I would be most grateful. Plastigauging my bearings and measuring my cylinders... Thank you, Danimal

They may come in a rear main seal gasket kit. I believe they are called "end main cap seals" or a some variant. Terry

Thanks Terry!
Also, my book gives torquing specifications for crankshaft damper bolts(58‒72ft/lbs. or 79‒97 nm) Which are those? Anyone know? No mention of them anywhere else in the book.

Thanks again! I wish they would pick one name and use it consistently! Danimal
