Alright...
Got off the phone with don docksteader subaru in port coquitlam b.c. who says the justy I have needs nearly $1800 in rebuild...
After the prices ive seen them go for and what people want for complete justys... i'm concidering packing it in...
A used motor would be nice, the oil pump, assembly and "chain" the dealer guy says they have that goes would be great (with the phone number to a guy who knows how to install the thing)
Any idea what kind of milleage these things are supposed to get? I just hit 190,000 kilomitres and other than that mild issue the thing runs wonderfuly, 4x4 works great everything's been taken care of... but i want it running cherry mint perfect and that sounds like it will cost about the down payment on a new vehicle with 0k on it and the same gas mileage...
thoughts? Encouraging? Buyers for my cute little car? any words?

I guess another question would be, is the justy a car for me if I travel alot and can't afford to be stuck on the side of the road with a car I can't get parts for easily... Just thinking.. I'm hoping for encouragement here, i do like this thing They're a ton of fun...

Mine has never left me on the side of the road, although at times it has made me nervous. Let me know if you still want a clock, I am home to pull it out now.

I would say what will cost you less cash in the long run, car payments or the cost to repair the justy. I have a lancer but I drive the Justy every day because it gets better gas mileage and the 4wd is a sweet benefit. At a minimum try to keep it atleast driveable.
