I don't think it's the carb. The choke works like it's supposed to. There is no linkage binding. And I don't see any hoses loose. In fact my idle screw is out so far that it's loose.
My check engine light does come on briefly when I'm starting and running the engine cold. Usually once or twice, it's not regular.
When I start the engine cold, it likes idleing at 1000 rpm. As it gradually gets warmer, the rpm slowly climbs up to arounf 1500 - 2000 rpm for an idle.
The base timing is correct according to the dealership. However if I twist the distributor toward the front of the car all the way, it will idle at 1000 when it's warm. BUT it won't accelerate whatsoever.
On a side note, I'm noticing I have little top end power past 4000 rpm or any small incline in 4th gear.
