I just picked up a justy about a week ago. It's a '92 fuel injected model. I drove it home about 75 miles without issue but didn't realize the brake lights didn't work and the person I bought it from was clueless...
anyway, to the problem. The fuse for the brake lights was removed because when you put it in the brake lights are on constantly. Similar issue with the emergency flashers, it's fuse was removed too, when you put it in the dinger and flashers are on constantly. The rear hatch had been swapped and they used spade terminals to splice the new one on so I unhooked those and it still has the issue.
any ideas? Thanks!

Hrmmm
Remove all the light bulbs and see if it goes away. There really sint a common crossover for them. They are prbabaly 2 seperate issues. Do the turn signals work?
For the brakes start at the brake light switch. Make sure the proper bulbs are in the proper sockets. The hatch only has the 3rd brake light and should not be anissue.

I made another post in the troubleshooting section for this issue since I posted this before I noticed it was the electrical modification section , but am getting to the bottom of the issue... I finally got in a place where I could get the volt meter across the brake light switch it had continuity with the brake light at rest, shouldn't it be a normally open switch? it's a pain to get down there... I really need to make a bench the height of the door sill. Thanks for the help
