i have a 1992 subaru justy 2wd fuel injected. i bought it with only around 30k miles last year to be my daily beater. i have a beefed up 1998 mitsubishi eclipse with a nice fmic, big 16g turbo, 680cc injectors, and all the other supporting mods as my "race car". the subaru was something that was really cheap, good gas milage, driven daily to work. so i neglected it.... badly. now it's time to do some work. i thought i'd share some pics i took of badly coked/gunked oil EVERYWHERE. on the head between the spark plugs, on the oil pan, on the sway bar, on the frame, it's bad. it's so bad, i spent a couple hours, and several cans of carb cleaner/engine degreaser cleaning it so that i could have a clean car to be able to tell where all i'm leaking from.

It muct be the valve cover if even the spark plugs are covered. Just install a new gasket there, and steam wash the engine...
