where is the connector to retrieve the codes. i just got a 89 justy with 75000 miles and the check engine light is on. it runs great, but i only get 30 mpg. shouldn't i be able to get better mileage? why is it no one will ride in it?

I do not own a Justy nor have I ever ridden in one however I wouldn't think that there is an OBDII connector on your car to retrieve codes. I would believe that your ECU should flash a light a number of times to indicate what the code is. There should first be some quick flashes than some slow flashes. For instance, three quick flashes and two slow ones would indicate code #32 is being thrown. Good luck!

On my '88 Justy, there were 2 connectors hanging loose near the left side " kick panel" [ underneath dash just past hood opening handle. With switch off, I plugged those together, then turned switch on.[ don't start] Then count the flashes & sequence of the lite on the dash, & that it is code. You can post the code found & I will look it up.

The connectors on my '93 are green underneath the steering.
