I posted this in the Electrical section, maybee this is a better place. Admin. can delete whichever.
I married into a 94 Subaru Justy with the 5-speed. I love this car 115,xxx miles and going strong! 40mpg even We recently had the head rebuilt and now the check engine light is on and giving a code 13, TDC sensor.
First we checked and made sure we had all the electrical connectors plugged in correctly looks good to me. Then we replaced the distributor which houses the TDC sensor, then we replaced the ECU. And finally I just wired the 4 wires from the distributor straight to the appropiate pins on the ECU and still the light comes on.
We tripple checked the timing on the engine. All the marks on the Crankshaft, Camshaft etc line up. All my service manuals say to set #3 cyl on Top Dead Center but the car will not start this way. The only way the car runs is with the Distributor pointing to #1 Top Dead Center.
I'm ready to give up and unplug the bulb from the Check Engine Light. Anyone have any advice. I can provide much more info and even pics if anyone can help. Thanks, Ryan funtruck2002@yahoo.com

Have you tried resetting it?
Just unplug the positive wire on your battery for about a minute or two and it should shut off. If not then there's still a problem somewhere.

;D Man I've tore this car apart trying to fix this. Resetting the computer was the first thing I tried and it's been reset about 50 times since. BTW you should always disconnect the negative (black)wire when dealing with batteries

I am not sure because I have never had the distributor out of my justy, but it may be possible to put the distributor in wrong. Some cars it will fit only one possible way. Some cars it is possible to put it in improperly and the valve timing and the ignition timing do not match.
