I attempted to get an anwser for this within the "what the hell are these" thread - to no avail. I knocked my front sway bar off, during a stupid event of mobbing through a nice long deep desert mud puddle - at speed. Yes, stupid, I know Do I need this? I removed it after realizing it was hanging about an inch from the ground. I noticed the car is a bit sloppier at high speeds on tarmac, but handles and grips SOOO much better on dirt and over rough terrain. Am I putting any undue stress on other parts by neglecting to replace it?? If you recommend replacing....do you have a spare I could buy off you -thanks, Adam

There is no real problem with running without it I've had mine off for about six months now. It's basically there to make the car a little more idiot proof in 4wd because it will make the car more likely to understeer rather than oversteer.
But yeah I also took mine off for rallyx and iceracing because it handles better and I no longer need to worry about ripping it off. Plus it makes it easier to work on the front suspension

Cool!!
As I think of it...my previous 2wd 88' did not have one. I always wondered why that one did better than my 4wd in 2wd.
Thanks for your reply indkid87!

It's already off thejallenator...the first post I explained what had happened. I was merely inquiring of the necessity of replacing it. I'm continuing to find that the car handles just fine in the mountain switchbacks; I can hardly tell it's missing. Off-roading is so much grippier and smoother too
