Hello, I am new to this forum thing and new to the Justy. I am working on this car for a friend. The car keps dieing when it gets warm and then starts and drives when it cools off. We were told that the pick up coil in the distributer is bad. We got a new one and I can't find any info on how to remove the old one to install the new one. This car is a 90 model and has a 89 model engine. I live in rural Alaska and have no mechanics available to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks James

Is the poster of this question still here? Would be interested to know where you found this part (or part number), and if you were able to replace. Looks to me that a small allen wrench may be required (after you remove the two wires to pickup, and the two screws holding pickup to distributor - under cap and rotor).
I'm having a similar problem, I think. Got spark from coil, but no spark at plugs. (New cap and rotor.) Distributor turns (not the points/condensor model). Any ideas? Thanks! '89 GL 2WD ECVT.
