Hi I just got my first Justy recently very cheap, no rust and in mint body condition, if I keep it longer I plan to swap it for manual transaxle, or at least begin with changing the engine. I replaced the head gasket, which was faulty between cyl 2 and 3. Thus making it not run at all. So I replaced this gasket only to find out the bottom end of the engine was toast, knocks badly on high load less RPM indicating bad rod bearings. Has low oil pressure too, maybe faulty pump or spacious crankshaft bearings etc. Has plenty of oil. Runs good though and starts up first try every time, gets me from school, work and back home every day for a week now, and spends less gasoline than my modified Suzuki 4x4 Here are a couple of images of the repair process. www.facebook.com/home.php#!/album.php?aid=202089&id=642127906 any questions feel free to ask, and if you have any suggestions for my issues please provide me

Great work! Looks like some really good tires for a Justy! Does the 'Skrúbbi skrúbbi skrúbb' comment say about being hung over?
Hopefully you already find the Justy to be an easy little car to work on. I don't think you'll have much trouble with any of the swaps you've considered.

Thanks. I have indeed found the justy incredibly easy to work on compared to the modern and aged cars I work on every day. Although I had not gathered much information at the time whether the firewall, inner fenders, motor mounts etc are alike between ECVT and Manual, but if any different, it should only be a task to compete against.
