Fun while it lasts?... Now that I've found this site it may last forever...right?

your rocker cover, is that off a gen 1? cos its exactly the same as a gen 2 one! What!? Now I wish I had taken it from a GenII! I foolishly painted mine like that myself. ;D I thought that the GenIIs had a plastic rocker cover. Mine is aluminium and it shined-up so nicely that I had to take the lettering back down to the metal. There is a final coat of clear engine enamel and the words have been that shiny for a year. Anyone who wants a shiny rocker arm rover will find it is easily done with a wire brush, sand paper, and a clear coat. Sadly I didn't realize that the hole for the spark plug lead wire clip and grounding wire on the cover I painted was stripped out and I had to earth to the next hole over. I have still to tap new threads and put it right. No problems yet though with earthing or the lead wires not being held in place. looks great, your car aswell, any plans with it? I have de-badged the car and will re-badge with custom "Yamazakura" car name due to it's Japanese heritage and "wild cherry" every-panel-a-different-colour paint job. I really could do with some fog lights... The car needs new struts all around, drivers side CV joint, carb. rebuild (only 34 MPG right now), and the switch at the door that turns on the interior light and "sings" at you put back on both sides. I practiced the Union Jack on the rocker cover but still haven't put it on the roof... It could do with an engine re-build as well before it's too late. Also planning a custom wooden dashboard with water temp, oil pressure, and voltage gauges, XM and CB radio, and pull-out computer and fuses box so I can check the error codes while driving/not getting stuck upside down. That can wait and come with the rebuild. This poor car sat for 8 years without being tended to at all due to a broken prop shaft. When my best friend(strangely enough the only person I ever knew who'd also heard of a Justy) heard I was swapping an engine out in my second Justy he finally convinced his dad to give me this one for parts. I removed the prop shaft, disconnected the 4X4 button, put a cheap shift knob, and tuned it up. Before it was my primary car, I finished my engine swap and drove my second Justy for two months before someone crashed into me. (I recommend making your car as obvious as possible.) I'll keep this thread updated. -Danimal

Make yours as obvious as possible so other drivers won't crash into you, they will crash into a small family? No, I'm just playin'..........or am I? ?

What? ?
Imaginarius, my advice to you is: speak no evil; that's black magic in the worst way.

These hills are getting slippery as winter sets in. I'm dreaming of rebuilding the engine and reinstalling the 4WD; I have temporarily switched to a FWD gearbox since the 4WD wasn't functional. I'll keep this thread updated. -Danimal
