I got a reproduction grille planning on customising it, heres what i did. Hope you enjoy. Using a cutting disc on a grinding tool i started to cut out the mesh untill it was all gone. I then cut the badge out like so. Cut it in half and used it to fill in the gaps. I then used a soldering iron to weld the plastic together. I then sanded it smooth and used filler to seal the gaps and get a smooth finish. After that was dry i sanded it completly smooth and got it ready for primer. And here it is at the moment, in primer, i will rub it down some more to get a superb finish. Well what do ya think? Im getting some paint mixed soon, jade green, colour code 758, and will be getting some stainless steel mesh to fit in the back. Ill post some pics of it finished. thanks

Good Morning justy89, Welcome aboard! D@mn great 3rd post! A+ job so far. Cutting out the 'honeycomb' was a significant pain in the arse, right? Wore your goggles, I hope. Very clean lines/proper sanding you have going on! I've been futzing around with one also ... in progress as per below (sanding/filling seems endless): Definitely keep us posted!,

Yeah thanks for that, yeah the filling for mine seemed endless aswell, but it pulled through at the end. Your grille project looks good, very unusual.
Cheers 89, i will keep you posted.
