Hi everyone. Very new to the forum, just joined really because I'm thinking about buying a justy to compete in the PPC 999 challenge. www.ppcmag.co.uk/The idea is to buy, build, mod and MOT a car forr £999 or less and compete againt other similar things. www.ppcmag.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6557vids of the event. Anyway. I would like to build a four wheel drive car to compete and thought that the justy would be the perfect car. The event can consist of auto test, sprint coarse, and standing 1/4 mile. I want four wheel drive for grip in all events. So my questions are: are the diffs locked when in 4wd? I take it there is no centre diff ? Does anyone knowwhat weight I could get the car if I were to strip everything out including the seats, and just fit a fiberglass seat. Might even take out the glass and fit plasic. One thought was to remove the engine and fit a front wheel drive alfa V6 engine with drive shaft facing back and to the front. Any ideas or help would be nice. I like the cars, and think it would look the dogs with a big engine and 4wd. If the diffs are notup to the job, then possible fit a pair of XR4X4 rear diffs with LSD ?

Looks like I'm gonna struggle to find a car and the bits I need for under £999.
