Is there anyone out there who would be able to make (or know someone who can) a set of coilovers (front & rear) for my '87 Justy GL?
Thanks, Ray ;D

Hi, This is what I did; -went to JC whitney and bought the heavy duty 1250lb. suspension kit for 2-1/4" O.D. dust covers(approx $43. incl. shipping). Comes with (2) springs, (2) end cups, and (2) clamps(I didn't use the clamps). - used a bandsaw to cut a form fitting plate(I used 1/8" steel) to fit the top of the shock mount. Bored out the center to a little over 2.5". - used some pipe with min. 2.5" bore(I bored some 2.375" pipe out on a lathe) and cut pipe length to 1.7" - took out the welder and joined plate, pipe, and end cup together. - then assembled as follows; - one end cup at bottom of shock; - spring over shock; - welded assembly placed over top dust cover; - bolted top of shock together with bottom. voila! I've just finished two of my own for the rear suspension. No need to change anything to existing suspension. Everything is on the shock.

depending on how long of springs you are interested in, ground control will supply you with springs and coilover sleeves. currently on my RX i run coilovers from a wrx, they are an 8" spring with a 2.5" diameter. my tophats work with the smaller spring in the front, and the entire assembly sits on the stock spring perch. even though i still have stock struts, i would recommend getting aftermarket struts whether they're kyb, monroe, or whatever; damping will greatly improve handling as well.
