So I want to put a tachometer, Oil pressure, and perhaps a voltmeter in my car. But you see I cant think of a good place to mount them. Would anyone have some suggestions, I would like to see pictures of where you have mounted yours.

i'd go with the oil gauge, wouldnt waste my time with a voltmeter, but would go for a water pressure gauge instead, if i was going to.
i guess that if you havnt got a tacho then you have the baby 1.0l 6v, right? go look at Subieguy's justy in 'members rides'!

Mp3 holder, good idea, but I think you can use that little space on the Hand Brake to do that, in the past I put a base for my PALM there and works good, Try to put all this things where you feel more confortable, and accesible for you while your driven post some pics before with the Mp3 Player and the gauges good luck!!!

justycr, Where did you connect the water temp sensor and oil pressure sensor? Did you retain the stock dash lights(volts, oil) and temp gauge? Is it worth it to replace the stock dummy lights? stacks For the oil gauge i have to remove the original so now i have a more complete mesure of how many PSI my JUSTY has. The original one has a trouble, with only 3 psi of presure the light will never turn on. A year ago my oil pump broke down, by this time I put the Oild gauge and it marks only 3 psi, Righ now when I star the engine mark 40 psi and with the car warm up, about 25 psi. I keep the original temp sensor, and the gauge its not working. The volt gauge is conected to the alternator For the Tach, i have to conect a wire to the groud, one to de + of the battery, and one to de Light instalation. I install every thing my self, so its very easy to do... ;D

Yes, many Justys came with tachometers both in Gen1 and Gen2 cars. This was one of the differences between the base model DL and the optioned out GL/RS models. I have at least three extra gauge clusters with tachometers. One of them has a crack in the clear plastic lens. I would sell it for cheap if you're interested.

Would my justy have the tach connectors, and all that Jazz, like factory harness style, or would I have to make a rats nest and a few trips to radio shack?

That's a really good question. I'll try and consult my shop guide to find out. I know it's a totally different car, but on my '95 Impreza L coupe - it didn't have a tach, and the wires were all there. I grabbed a cluster out of a wrecking yard, took the tach out and simply plugged it in. I know - different car, but maybe Suby has a habit of doing this on their cars...?

So i am trying to find a tach for my justy. i almost bought one from the parts store when i noticed it said for 4,6,8 cylinders only. the only tachs for 3 bangers that i found online are over $100 which doesn't seem very smart to put in a $400 car. Anyways... i was wondering if there was a way to buy a cheap tach for a 6 cylinder and somehow electrically divide by two? or if there are such things as cheap 3 cylinder tachs?

I recently had similar questions here... Maybe this will help.. subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=everything&action=display&thread=2495I listed a couple that would work on there.. Other than the ones that are mentioned in that thread, I heard that all the tachs from www.glowshiftdirect.com/ work, but I can't say for sure, maybe you could get a hold of them and ask... Also, I guess you can use any tach with it on the 6 cylinder setting but it will read double.. Or you could figure out the measurements and and make your own background.. Sounds like a pain in the ass, but good luck, post what you end up doing, or if you find something better.

That's a really good question. I'll try and consult my shop guide to find out. Did you ever get a chance to check this out? I would like to know if a 2WD GL cluster with tach would work in a 2WD DL w/out a tach. Model year is 1993.
