Hello. I swapped my '87 Justy Steeting column assembly, instrument cluster bezel and combination switch for a '91. A few questions. Is the intermittent wiper circuitry built into the '91 combination switch or is it located elsewhere? Anyways for the time being I have installed a simple commercial timer circuit to do the job. Now the issue is that the wiper park sensor is apparently not working properly. When the wiper moves (about 75%)up the sensor switch remains at negative, it switches to positive when wipers are moving back. So essentially if the wipers are pulsed for just a short duration, say by pulling towards 'mist' and releasing the stalk the wiper may remain stuck in midway. Should not the sensor immediately to 'run' when wipers leave 'park'? Is the park sensor adjustable? Thanks

cool! Any idea what the screw with lock nut, on the side of the motor gearbox, is?

OK I tried to take out the motor after removing the wipers and cowl panel. It was attached to the linkage with one nut in a very hard to reach place. After failing to remove it I opened up the wiper gear cover held by three Phillips type screws. There is a worm and pinion gear inside, with the pinion having metallic strips over which the switch contacts on the gear cover move. Everything, including the points was covered with some caked grease. I cleaned it out without dismantling further, then applied some grease to the teeth and called it a day. Would try it out tomorrow. By the way I did not have any special grease just added a high temperature non-drip one. Will it cause any problem?
