im rebuilding my 91 justy fi with a five speed the someone has converted from an auto trans. there are several wires that are just left hanging so when i went to put it back together there is no way of telling which wires are used. i was wondering if someone has some pictures of under the hood that i could look at for a reference. i have most of the wires back in the right place but there is one with a blue connector by the passenger side head light that is undone and a couple near the battery. its tough putting back all the pieces because the car was already redone once by someone who had no right to be under the hood of a car! now when i turn it over there is no spark.... but when i turn the key on everytime there is one spark then no more when i roll it over. any help would be great thanks.

You are only getting spark while it isn't cranking? Sounds like your coil isn't getting enough voltage. Put a voltmeter between the coil + and the battery - and watch the voltage while you crank. Might just need a boost..! -Terry

That is exactly what the ingition in my car did. I had switched the complete motor and tranny and the ignition acted the same. I spent quite some time tracing wires from the dist. and changing dist.and even computer modules all to no avail. It turned out to be a ground wire that I forgot to put back on. Check to see that there is a wire bolted to the bottom of the Intake manifold close to the oil filter. It's hard to get at with a ten millameter socket but it can be done.

Well I don't know about 91 Justy, but old ignition system with point type distributors have two wires to supply voltage to the ignition coil. One is powered at 'Ignition' position and the other at 'Start'. If only 'Start' one is connected it would only spark when it is cranking. If yours is point type you may want to check out this possibility.
