Any Idea on this one??? PICS BELOW... I'm not sure if it just came off or I've missed it constantly? Can't seem to figure out where it hooks up, if it is supposed to. I'm running a 1989 JUSTY RS 4WD, 5-Speed. Thanks Folks, #891989 Subaru JUSTY RS 4WD 126, 711 miles

Yes I to am aflicted with the mystery too many connecters problem... dont think it is a problem, just a mass produced wiring harness for all aplications.

I also have found several of these "mystery connectors" under the hood of my 89 Justy. A mechanic friend told me that some of them are indeed extras due to the mass produced wiring harnesses, and they do nothing. HOWEVER- some of them are there as a place to connect a diagnostic computer to various different parts of your engine electrical system, so they do indeed serve a purpose. Hope this helps.

Something else I see on the photo, which is not stock.. The 'cold air intake' tube u fixed, do you have more pictures of that? Did it have some effect on your performance?

Thanks Cod. Izi - Sharp eye you have!! I have a number of pics I hope to upload soon... I would reveal the trade secrets of the air intake, but it may be too 'ghetto fabulous' for some of the purist retoration and/or hardcore motorsports folks here . Its just part of some ongoing brainstorms to extract an additional 1/100 of 1hp and and hopefully 10 feet per gallon of premium fuel! Actually, a few horses and maybe even 40+ mpg (by original EPA standards) shouldn't be too much of a challenge with a few tweaks, I hope! No formal data/testing to really tell if improvement (or otherwise ) is going on. Contrary to popular mall racing belief, introducing additional air to the fuel mix isn't always all its cracked up to be. At my level of low-tech DYNO testing and the like is simply disallowed by budget restraints (and high potential for ultra depressing *non*results)! Hmmm... that reminds me - its time to scout around for one of those good ole 'GTech' analyst meters... remember those... hmmmm... Kanpai,
