my 94 justy doesn't have a tach(its gotta be a base model) how hard would it be to install one?
would it be as simple as running a wire to the engine and then mount the tach?
any help would be appreciated thanks.

Aftermarket Tach's will pretty much work on any vehicle. You can pick them up at walmart (for affordable ones) or any auto parts store for high end ones. I believe they hookup to your distributor and basicly measure the timing.

I also am pondering an aftermarket tach. I've been told that it's as simple as splicing a couple of wires (from the tach) into the wires going into the ignition coil (usually located on the top of the engine side of the firewall on the driver's side), but I haven't tried it yet, so I dont know for sure. Should be fairly simple, though.

Remember though,, we are dealing with 3 cylinder engines. Most ALL aftermarket tachs are for 4,6, or 8 cylinders . There is one aftermarket tach " Sunpro CP2012 " that I have been told works fine. About $60.
