Im about to change my outerjoint rubber, and i cant get the joint to loosen from the driveshaft, there is no lockrings nor pinns that needs to be removed.
it is the left front outerjoint on an 88 justy.
any ideas ?

Just remove the rubber, so you can hit the cv joint with a hammer. Do not let the CV joint fall on the ground Good luck with it.. if you have any more questions, just ask

We are talking about the outer joints, aren't we? In the outer cv joints there are no rings or things or whatever. Just remove the rubber (slide it up, or cut it in half) next, get a hammer a gently hit the cv. Now it'll come of. If not, try harder.

True. I was thinking about disassembling the outer cv joint, not about changing the rubber About what you say about the axles which kept popping out... I do dirt track racing with the Justys.. Never had trouble with the outer cv.. always those damn inner CVs who get messed up But i think that's because our Justys are lowered.

First remove the rubber (DOH ) Now you can remove a large ring that's on the inside of the CV-boot. That ring will be about half a centimeter from the top of the CV-boot. After you removed this ring you can just slide of the CV-boot. The remaining parts are easy to remove. At the end of the axle there is retaining ring that keeps the rest of the CV together. With this ring removed everything can be disassembled from the axle ps. I hope you understood my explanation.. (english ain't that good...)
