jgilk, Really no need for 145 80R 12s when 155s are available...essentially the same tire. Unless you're a die-hard purist for originality .

Well my wheels are big like hell, but why go this small size, instead of getting something little bigger where there are lots of tires avaliable?

How many Festivas did they sell in the USA...?...oh yeah, a shítload. How many Geo Metros/Swifts did they sell in the USA...?...as many as they could paint! 12" tires aren't going away because there is a demand for them for at least the next 10 years. Get some 155s and stop complaining. It's called Les Schwab, JG, fõck.

Must be nice to live outside the rustbelt. 99% of the vehicles you mentioned that were in my area have dissolved into rust and have been converted into dye for mulch coloring. That is why 12" tires are on the exotic list now days in the Cincy area.LMAO

Those guys in the Pacific Northwest have the marketshare of Justys (and the parts availability to go with them!).

Yeah and the guy that started this thread and subsequent poll, is located right here in the Pac-NW, Subaru heaven, Justy Central. I personally think he should sell his Justy to someone that can get it running and stick to his worship of all things G.M.

Like I said in a earlier thread, after getting my Gen1 a couple of years ago, the guys at work joked with astonishment on what the heck is it??? I put the challenge out to them at that time to prove to me wrong. I claimed that I have the only Gen1 in a 150mi radius of the Cincy area and they still have`nt found one yet. There is a Gen2 ECTV running around, but that is the only other one I`ve seen. I communicate with guys in a local area STI club and they will sometimes do a spotcheck on the web commenting that they still see the silver Justy on the road. LMAO

if justys are in such short supply in the eastern part of the us why is it that in a 4 mile radious of where i live i know of 12 that are still driving around its kinda funny Because JG you live in semi-arid country there in Spokane...the east coast and upper midwest are very humid and tons of sand and salt used on the roads in winter just eats up Justys and any other car from that era unless you keep on top of it every year. Every person I've talked to who have seen my Justy make the comment that "yeh, I used to have a Justy but RUST just ate away the body and underside until the suspension broke loose from the unibody." Case closed.

Amen to that RM. I've seen probably a total of 7 active (including my in daily driver/project) JUSTYs in NY, NJ, CT in the last 5 years combined! What corrosion prevention regimen have you put in place for the ole 3 banger up there in Maine? Let's trade tips. BTW, your diplomacy in the above response is appreciated. We might as well be supportive to eachother, as we already are treated by Subaru (in general) like the Milkman's kid as JUSTY vs., say, WRX owners... Cheers,

What corrosion prevention regimen have you put in place for the ole 3 banger up there in Maine? Let's trade tips. 89, To be honest, I haven't really spent the time necessary to do a real thorough job of eliminating the rust . On the body I've only essentially sanded down to bare metal, applied a rust converter, primered, and sometimes seal-coated in spots...but usually just left the primer on (bad thing) as rust reappears next season. I had to replace one front wing and riveted patches of metal on here and there. But the underside looks pretty good which I attribute to my thoroughly washing the car frequently (even in winter) to get the road salt off. I am guilty of neglecting the car early in its life when I had other interests/diversions/other car projects, etc....now I'm trying to play catch-up. Yes, the 'ol Justy is bruised and battered, but never fails me as my daily driver. Thanks for your kind words of wisdom...
