After I brought the Justy to the Car Wash, the rear license plate and brake lights are lit after I shut off the car. I tried the turning the light switch on signal stalk and no effect. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Did you try turning off the rocker switch that's on top of the stearing column?

It is possible that during the car wash something was either jarred out of place, or water got into the wiring. check to make sure that everything looks to be in order visually, and also pull the access hatch and take a look at your wires. there may be corrosion etc. in there. if you can see any light coming through the car then theres a hole that the water may have gotten into. so you could repair/replace the panel, or just stick some bubble-gum into the back side of the hole if you arent worried about doint it "right". but Definately check all wire connections near the brake light assembly. ( I had an old GL wagon that would do the same thing whenever it rained)

Did you try turning off the rocker switch that's on top of the stearing column? I never knew what that switch on top of the steering column is for until now: I flipped it back and the rear lights are gone! Thanks Justy 4X4!!!
