No. The fuel pump is out of the tank. look for around the fuel tank outside and in the botom of the car. I would like to have a stock fuel pump. Mine is dead, instead i have some kind of adapt fuel pump that puts 1 to 2 bar of fuel. THAT'S ALOT!! But it runs, and i'm going to put a turbo and a fuel restrictor, so... Good luck finding the fuel pump. What model and engine is your justy!

Hey, Thanks. Mine is a 1.3L in a DL FWD 5sp. I ask because I think my pump is dead. It ran fine and this morning it started, ran 5 min and died! Now it will start run 15 sec and die. I can't pump up the rpm's with the throttle either. I will put a pressure gage on it be for I go any farther though.

My suggestion for what it`s worth is to change out the fuel filter located right next to the pump. the pump is located along the bottom flooring underneath the car against the rocker panel under the drivers-side door. It has a support plate that is mounted by I think 3 screws. Considiring the car age and your location, don`t be surprised if the bolts break. If they do, it`s also a easy fix...

Thanks; I have a fuel filter and I will change it as soon as the weather breaks and the snow melts a bit from around the car. It sounds like a great first step.

You're going to love this. I got to work on the car over the weekend. I dropped the pump and changed the filter. While I was changing the filter I noticed that no gas ran out of the line to the tank, and when I turned the pump on it ran. Your getting the picture, my son must have let the car idle to warm up to long and it ran out of gas. Cool Hugh?
