I am at my whit's end. So far I have changed my battery, alternator, rebuilt an alternator. But my problem never goes away...so here's the deal:
Alternator and Brake Light comes on at the same time.
If I fully charge the battery, the A+B lights only come on if I step on the brake. If I run the lights, the A+B lights stay on.
If the engine is cold, the battery is fully charged and I am going down the road the A+B lights stay off. When the engine is hot, the A+B lights come on brighter as RPM's rise.
I can pull the wires from the headlight relays off and the A+B lights still come on.
I am really going out of my mind trying to find this short. Any ideas?

Just went through this same identical problem on my Scoob wagon. Turned out to be the plug receptacle on the alternator. It gave me fits trying to troubleshoot. My sympathy, hope you have better luck on finding your problem.

You would be surprised by all the confusion a lost ground to a break/tail light can cause. (Ground lost to the bulb receptical.) probably not your problem, but....?
