I'm getting trouble codes for the injectors and TDC sensor. I recently discoved a short in the wiring from the sensor and repaired that but I'm still getting a trouble code for it. I've tested it with a voltmeter and the circuit appears to be good. Are there any things I need to be aware of such as a minimum resistance allowance in the circuit? Any help would be appreciated. thankyou.

davefman---can you tell me how to get the trouble codes on '89 GL carbed model? Ultimate Subaru website said the connectors are in the engine compartment! Who knows?
Thank you in advance. henry

in my 90' GL FI, it has two connector types on the drivers side, below the computer and such( down by your feet). one is green and one is black. when the black connectors are plugged together it will read codes that are stored in the computer, when the green connectors are plugged together it will read current codes that the computer is detecting. The "check engine" light will flash, indicating these codes. A longer flash (around 1.2 sec) indicates a 10, and a short flash (.2 sec) indicates a 1. these flashes will be grouped together as numbers that correspond to trouble codes. for instance a long flash and 3 short flashes will mean 10 +3 or 13 which corresponds to the TDC sensor. here's a site that will give you a good list of what the codes mean: www.troublecodes.net/Subaru/ good luck.
