Do all gen1 cars rear suspention squeak? Both of mine do and I can't fix it except by wraping a layer of duct tape around the top of the strut. Any ideas?

Well it is a 19 year old car, not sure what that would convert to in human years... If the struts are original, then if the only thing they are doing are squeaking, then you are lucky. There are also some rubber bushings in various places in the rear suspension and rear axle that could be a source of squeaks, not sure what the best way to lube rubber bushings would be though.

One of my Gen1 cars squeak in the rear. It's not bad compared to the scrape/squeak in the front when the engine rocks on acceleration. It's maddening! I wonder if it is a transmission mount. Goddamn it's driving me crazy though.
