I went out and purchased a set of nice 155/80 R13's for my Justy. These things are awesome, they have great tread design, but I had to remove part of the fender in the back because of rubbing. These tires are typically used for ice racing. I'll see if I can get a pic for ya.
Everyone else, please post what brand, size, tread etc. and give it a rating so that others can compare and shop wisely for winter tires.
I give mine a 4 out of 5, it's downfall is that they were rubbing so I had to take some body work off.

I have some Canadian Tire Wintertrac snow tires with studs. Very good grip on snow, decent on ice, and very good treadware. And they are little 12" jobbies, so mucholo cheapolo. I just recently purchased two other sets of winter tires for other vehicles, one set is the Goodyear Nordic, exclusive to Canadian Tire. These tires look like they will work great, deep lugs and tons of siping. Those ones will be going on a 98 Subaru Legacy (14" tires). The other set I bought are a set of Michelin x-ice, not as deep of treads as the Nordics, but even more siping. Those ones are 155/80/13 which I got for about $50 apiece, and will be going on a 98 Suzuki Swift. I will let you know how both these sets work out, snow in the forecast this week!

For the winter rallye we were using some Pirelli winter and Nokian hakka in 155/70R13 using inertubes, really low pressur... I know that Nokian make some hakka in a narower format...for snow, the narower the better
On the Pirelli winter ,we cut a groove in the midle and cut down the side walls...these baby's drove on snow pretty much like it was gravel.

i have cooper sprotmasters 155r12. I paid $75 US dollars for all 4. brand new still with stickers on em. a guy started an autoshop up 4 years ago and bought them for $65 apeice new, but couldn't get rid of them. I got really lucky that day because in the US 12 inchers were stopped being produced 4 years ago. I occasionaly run winterfore 13's on the front and either way it does damn good for a 2wd
