I'm thrilled to find this forum. Finding Justy information on the web has been...tough.
I have a 1993 Justy DL 3-door, in 'high-tech red.' It's my beater, but it's actually in awesome shape. No rust, no noises.
I autocross my Justy once or twice a month. It's tough being so outclassed, even in H-stock, but I do okay. As long as it's a twisty course I can put in some competitive times. I do regularly beat novices driving Boxters and 'Vettes.
I haven't modified the car much, because I've been aiming to stay in stock, but I have done a couple things. Before the season started I got a set of 13" alloy wheels off an '88 Celica and put on 185-wide Sumitomo HTR-200 tires. As would be expected, these tires vastly improved the car's grip.
I also put in Corbeau 4-point harnesses on both the front seats. Before that, I didn't sit in the car so much as sit on it - those seats are terrible.
I have two other Subarus right now - my wife's Legacy wagon and the pride of the fleet, my 1993 SVX.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and I look forward to learning what I can!

Greetings. This is a great site. I've learned alot. Our first Subaru was an 83 wagon with a 3 speed automatic. It was awesome. We were hooked. Since then we've had 5 GL/loyale type, 3 Justys, 1 Legacy wagon(my mail car), and the pride of our fleet, our 98 Legacy Outback Wagon(my wife's). Mine is the 90 Justy 4WD 5-speed. I'm kind of surprised at all the justy-racers there are. Too bad they didn't offer it with a 1.8L. That was a good engine. So was the 2.2L. My 94 Legacy Wagon had more zip than my wife's 2.5L. Tom

My SVX was my first Subaru, but since then I've owned a few more:
'90 Legacy LS wagon (sold, still on the road) '85 FWD GL wagon (had hauled away after 205k miles) '95 Legacy Brighton (my wife's current car) '93 Justy DL
Unless I come up with a plan for the Justy that shows hope of making it competitive, I'll probably replace it in a year or two with a 2.5RS or maybe a WRX.
But in the meantime I sure do enjoy the Justy - it's such a ridiculous little car that it makes me laugh every time I get out of it.

I also autocross my justy... the 4wd kicks ass especially in slow twisty courses.
