Hi Gang! New guy here. Glad to have found this forum... great resource for these little, hard-to-find, Subaru gems. Your info here helped me decide to pick up my little Justy! 1991 Justy GL, 2dr, 4wd, 5 speed. Lots of miles... over 160k on the car... around 200k on the engine. But still running good. The body is super clean... zero rust (gotta love the NW)! Tranny shifts well with no grinding and the 4wd works too! Purchase pictures: I think I found a really solid little commuter car. Needs some TLC and few things fixed... nothing I wouldn't expect being this old. I have a spare, complete engine and FWD tranny and a few bins of parts (sweetened the deal). I'm really looking forward to tinkering, fixing, and eventually rebuilding the spare engine... plus sharing what I learn/know as I go. God Speed, Rip

That's a score. I love the red paint with color coded bumpers.

Thanks! I've seen Justy pics where the front/rear bumper covers where black... like the side molding. Those looked good too.
I've been going over the car pretty thoroughly as I get it ready to take over daily commuting duties. I am completely amazed. I'm new to the N.W., so to not be able to find *any* rust whatsoever on this car is incredible to me. Where I grew up in PA... with all the winter road salt... this car would never have made it to this age!
The car has some pretty serious undercoating underneath it. It's obviously working well in the rear 2/3 of the underbody. The front 1/3 area doesn't really need it since it's heavily coated in oil-encrusted gunk from the Valdez-leaking engine! ;D

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

Welcome aboard and to the Pac-NW as well. The reason your car isn't rusted out is because Eastern WA is very arid desert. Even in Western WA cars don't rust that badly because we don't salt the roads for winter. Pennsylvania 'eh? That's Hill Climb country. I just returned from Eastern WA this last weekend for the SOVREN Maryhill Loops Hill Climb. I wish we had more Trials/Solo I/Hill CLimb action here but we don't. Good luck with your car.
