www.sebastianarciszewski.com/rallyx/036.jpg and www.rallybc.com/photos/2004/RallyX/Feb28/mclaren_maxetak_justy.jpgThis car won P<2000 Western Canada Rally Championship in 2002 in different hands. It will have it's stage rally debut under my ownership in June in BC at Mountain Trials rally. For now I've only been able to rallycross it on a rapidly melting lake. We finished 5 out of 12 in awd studded to the embarassment of several (Audi quattro, Legacy GT turbo, Impulse turbo, Impreza RS etc ) but still got our a*s kicked by Patrick Richard in an unstudded WRX STi in the overall standings. Any credit goes to our car.

Yes it's got bilsteins. I'm still tying to figure out exactly what has been done to fit them as I haven't seen the original Justy pieces to know the difference. This is what I think has been done and if I can verify this with the original owner I'll let you know.
At the rear, the Justy shocks have been removed and replaced with VW Rabbit pieces that have had the bolting braketry cut off and re-welded with Justy brackets so that there is now a direct bolt in shock tube that will accept standard 50mm inserts. The top and bottom mounts on the car remain factory original to comply with CARS regs.
At the front I'm not so sure yet... I believe it's VW again but with the top portion of the strut reworked at a machine shop (VW threaded end cut and Justy end spliced on?) so that it will fit the upper strut mount in the car while at the bottom the wheel hub has been slightly machined for clearance to permit the increased diameter of the VW part.
The spring rates were calculated by a UBC engineer and then ordered and fitted to the car. They seem quite good so far (enthusiastic driving in the Fraser Canyon and the one day on ice) but I'll know better after we shake down on a couple of TSDs soon.
I'll try and find out more this week. There's going to be lots of things for me to learn as I've never owned a small car before (Land Rovers, 4x4s, motorcycles) and I've got to know all the little bits before we rally hard.

You have to have the files on the internet somewhere before you can post them on this board.
