Is the oil relief valve removable? If yes - how to do it? I do not know how to remove oil relief valve plug

Yes removable... You'll need to remove the staked in retainer visible from below. If I recall correctly it's threaded to pull with a slide hammer... or I drilled mine.

so... the plug from below is not threaded. I threaded mine M4 (with no need to change the hole dimension) and used slide hummer - it worked out

could you do me a solid favor and list some of mods you both have done? i feel like you 2 and armageddy, gearheady have solved some really intricate and detailed problems. maybe star a new thread addressing the weaknesses of the engine and drivetrain etc. I have everything to rebuild my 1988 GL 2 door manual on the bench right now, dissassembled block etc. As rare as these are in Arizona ( i bought the only 4wd one ive seen in at least 8 years! only 2 others which were meh and out of my price range). I have 1 shot to do this for a rust free everlasting gobstopper. I want to do it to the best of my abilities. Appreciate you guys.
