Hi,
Hopefully someone can help out with my Mum's Justy. It bites and pulls away ok on shorter journeys although on longer journeys the judder seems to kick in and you have to try and dip the clutch and rev the nuts off it to minimise the judder and accelerate. It is worst on hills.
The car is low mileage <30k although it was previously owned by an elderly person so the clutch has most likely had a hard life!
Is this likely to be a clutch replacement or are there any other known issues with flywheels or sources of clutch contamination?
Cheers, Kip

i would check the clutch master cylinder if it gives problems after warming up. seals are 30 years old so it is possibly leaking, the visosity changes as it warms up thus giving you problems. 30k the clutch is most likely fine

Hi there this forum is aimed at "slightly" older Justy! But I guess the basics are the same. I don't think anyone will have experience with the newer Justys. I believe that they are near identical to the Daihatsu Sirion.

Hi, thanks for your replies.
It is now booked into a garage, they drove it but couldn't find anything wrong with it.
Good point Chooch, I will check if there are any issues on the Sirions. Take it there are no forums for the newer Justy?
Cheers Kip

Found a post on a Daihatsu forum where a member has a clutch that has covered 5000 and vibrates violently and he suspects rear engine mount.
