Hi all, i have a 1988 justy 1.2 manual and i recently pulled the distributor to replace the inner seal because of oil leaking inside dizzy and causing car to not start. i pulled it all apart took photos to remember where everything went and put all back together after new seal, and also replaced the two female spade connectors that connect to i believe the pickup coil because they were drenched in oil. i put dizzy back in car and now theres no spark and wont start!!!!!.
I did check the two wires that come out of dizzy and i did replace a section of wire (i soldered and heatshrunk) that had gone bad.
Would any of you guys know what i should do next?? Any testing i can do??

I believe so, my dad and i were testing to see if there is any power to dizzy and as i crank he got a big shock so im guessing there is (hehe).
is there another way to check? and could it be my coil by any chance it has 11 87 underneath, could this mean 11 month 1987?

Actually i realized that what we tested was the power to the pickup coil, not the ignition coil. How would i test if there is??

Pull the high tension feed from the distributor ( its the center plug that feeds power into the distro that looks just like the spark plug leads ) and hold it about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch from a body component ( grounded component) and have someone else crank the car over... you should get a spark jumping from the lead to the car. The same way you would check for spark from your spark plug leads.

Im now assuming its coil but could it be the lead?

Right, got a new coil and installed still no spark!!! What else can it be i know the main coil lead is still the original lead could it be broken and not letting spark through??

Been doing some more research and found that the pickup coil can cause issues. Is the ignition coil and pickup coil linked in any way??
