Hello to everybody,
As seen in the thread there is no other thread fir oil consumption. I own a Subaru Justy 1.0 (4/ 2007) with engine 1KR by Daihatsu. For more than 40.000Km I have a steady oil consumption of 1 liter per 3.000Km. I haven't seen any smoke nor smell of burning oil at the exhaust. Also the cooling water has no oil and I don't have any leakage. I have used the following types 5W-30, 5w-40, 15w-40 (full synthetic) and now 10w-40 (semi synthetic). The consumption is almost the same regardless the type of the oil. I don't have measured the 10w-40 yet because I had it filled 5 days ago. I usually replace the oils at 6-7.000Km because I use it in Athens - Greece (usually heavy traffic). I have run 94.000Km and I have changed the spark plugs at ~70.000Km. Does anyone has faced equivalent problem?
Thank you.
Regards
Giannis

Giannis, Sorry there have been no responses... This forum is for the first generation justy, 1986-95. There are only a few surviving examples... and fewer contributing members Good luck on your quest for info.

It's quite normal for new engines to consume oil, have a look in the handbook, it should give some guidelines... On the other hand my old justy leaves a drop of oil every where you park!
