hello everyone!
I have recently gotten into the rally community in my city and surrounding areas and I cant stop thinking about it! its been my dream to build a rally car ever since and so the search is on to find a vehicle. I currently am looking at a 94 justy with 145,000 kms on it. I know that rallying is an expensive sport but there are some cheaper ways to go about it. buying a cheap car like a Honda civic or this justy would be a good start to saving money, or at least I hope. I know that I could find almost any non performance part for a civic at a wreckers but definitely not for a justy.
my question to you is if parts for a justy are easy to come by or are they tough finds?
leading to the next question, is it worth buying this justy for 1,800 bucks and turning it into a rally car? or am I going to have WAY less headaches with a Honda civic?
thanks in advance!

Parts are getting harder and harder to find on the justy, there is hardly enough suspension travel for rally racing, there are others on the board who have rallied them. A-arms seem to bend, trailing links, steering rods also.

Oh man... Where to start... Civics suck in Rally... only slightly less then Justies Where do you live? That is a good place to start. As in what is available locally in your wreckyards, and what will be for the next 10 plus years. Next, what do you mean by Rally? Rallycross, rally sprint, or true stage rally? If it's rallycross, man any f'n car will do... and a Justy will do just great; after that it gets more complicated. What is your other sport background... what's your mechanical aptitude? what's your preference, working in the shop making cool stuff, or out on stage banging into trees? Have you been here? www.rallyanarchy.com/phorum/Crazy mofo's doing real stuff. Not a bunch of 20 somethin kids in the basement who play DIRT. And I have never bent a control arm, trailing link or steering rod... except in some sort of "off" that would be expected.
