Luckily enough my Justy is pretty much rust free and I would like to preserve it for now, maybe redo some time later. I've been looking to do some rust proofing on the inside of the panels where alot of stuff starts from the beginning.
I'm familiar with the waxy kind of stuff you can use like Honey Coat, I like it but always wonder how even it is getting in the area I sprayed and is it creating a pocket to hold water in the future. A big plus with it though is it pretty much stays there forever.
I recently found an oil compound that may be used in the same manner, called ACF-50 there are other brands as well. It will definitely get every where you want it being a liquid and you dont have to worry about it being able to retain water. You will have to reapply they say about every 24 months.
Has anyone done anything like this with their justy or other vehicle? What did you think, What would you change?
The oil seems like the better way to me even though you have to reapply.

on my justy from under the door down has rhino lining kinda stuff on it. Not sure when in its life it had it done but it seemed to seal up the body pretty good. My other justy that was bought at the same time didn't fair as well with nothing protecting it. Damn thing is rusting through everywhere.

I would like to do something like that on the bottom of mine at some point. It seems like my Justy was able to spend a fair amount of time inside because after 2 yrs of owning it and it being outside 24/7 Im beginning to get a little rust seeping out from the pinch welds In the door jams especially. That brings my concern of rust proofing the inside of the panels.

I have used rust.co.uk as a supplier and reference source for previous projects. Frost.co.uk also has good products. I also need to rust proof my Justy, but haven't decided my course of action yet. I would like to preserve it as much as possible, but have 3 cars to do first, so might lose enthusiasm when it comes to the Justy....

I was thinking bedliner could be a good idea, but I didn't want to get it on any moving parts. How did they do it on yours?

Invest in a car tarp, and don't drive it in the winter if possible, my justy is riddled with rust so I plan on crawling under it this summer with a power drill with a wire brush bit and sanding most of it off, then spraying it with "rustolem rust reformer" and then spraying it with undercoating. Don't know what to do about the rust around the windshield short of popping out the windshield and sanding the edges.
