Back seats need recovering.

You might be surprised how easy sewing is...
A few years ago, broke and bored... My MGB needed seat covers. A trip to Fabricville netted enough vinyl and "fake suede" on sale for $40...
Bought a $50 used sewing machine... (I now own 3 machines, and am looking for more. Sewing's like welding, all in the prep work, pull the trigger, and voilà!)
Took the old seat covers off carefully, used them as patterns and sewed up new ones. That was nearly 10 yrs ago, and my MG is nearly a daily driver in the summer. My fake suede faded... the vinyl is still rockin'

The Justy just got inspected today. My mechanic said the front seats are easily fixable. The back not so much, but may be easy to repair like you said.
