This sounds like a superficial "upgrade" but that is because it is.
I have always had the luxury of using the O.S. handle behind the driver seat for hanging my jacket. I no longer have this option, and I place my hanger on the pneumatic mount on the hatch. It is too low for what I want, and drapes over the wheel wheel and rattles into the window.
Anyone have their ceiling lining removed? Mine is in great condition, so I would prefer to make any cutting/investigation minimal.
Ideally, I am looking for a place to screw in a hook or perhaps move the front passenger O.S. handle for a more OEM look. I am looking for a location on the rear passenger (left side) between the B and C pillars.
Any pictures would be AMAZING. Thanks!

There is a structural member that runs along the inside edge, you could screw into that with a sheet metal screw and not go through the roof... There should also be a little pre-drilled mount but not sure where on the 4 door it would be. You can see it on mine just mid rear window.

Those mounts hold the support rods for the headliner, so they are normally occupied.
I can take a look at my 4 door this weekend.

Here's some pics of mine. I think you'll have to go low enough that you'll get below the gap between the headliner and roof, but high enough that you don't go through the outside of the roof. If that makes sense.

So it looks like this is over the back door of the sedan. The orange circle: This is probably a bit too close to the driver seat to install anything. The red circle: this is the headliner support? Maybe I can do something with that roof support behind the B pillar. Is it possible to snap a shot of the passenger front where the OS handle is bolted in? I am wondering if I can find a way to move that. Thanks! Attachments:

Here's the passenger os handle location. This is the driver's side without the handle, but the mounts are still there. And the back corner. Yes, the red circle is where the headliner support mounts. Keep in mind, I don't have stock seats so they may be a bit farther back. So I wouldn't use those for reference.

You guys are great. It took me awhile to realize that I was looking at a right drive in the white.
Since I'm looking to keep my car street, I would love to someday work in a sunroof, and those pictures of the roof support may be doubly handy!
Any idea how easy it is to remove the liner (and put back in)? I would like to play around, probably in the spring.

There is no way to remove it with the hope of putting it back in. It's glued in and it's just a thin sheet of vinyl. You can't get it out without destroying it.

if this is just a drycleaning hook, why not just use a short self tapping screw in the thick part of the structure?
